New clients

  • Fill out our Contact Me page. Email responses will be sent within 24-48 hours! We will determine if your needs meet with our services then we’ll schedule a meet and greet.

  • It’s not required but it would be helpful to fill out our cancellation policy and a checklist (if needing pet sitting services). Our paperwork is found on a page called Policies and Forms!

  • During the meet and greet, we’ll get to know you and your pets, discuss their routines, and go over any special instructions or needs! This is the perfect time to ask questions, review keys/codes, and ensure everyone feels comfortable before starting our care.

  • A text message to Heather is preferred but an email to info@heatherpetcare.com works as well.

  • Text Heather immediately.

  • We do but they are tough to squeeze in. Heather will always let you know whether or not we can help out!

  • As much notice as you can give! We understand last minute changes cause your plans with your pet to be disrupted. Text Heather and we’ll see what we can do.

General Questions

  • Yes, through Pet Sitters Associates.

  • Yes! The major holidays are Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and Day.

  • No, we do not offer boarding in our own homes.

  • Pennington, Hopewell, Titusville, Skillman, Lawrenceville, Ewing, and downtown Princeton.

  • Either Heather or one of her great team members! Please let Heather know if you’d like to set up a consultation with them if you are already a client. New clients will generally meet our staff during a meet and greet.

  • We will. If the cat is on medication, we will need to stop by every day.


  • We do depending on the medication! We will not pill cats but can pill a dog as long as they are not a bite risk.

  • No, we do not. They are not employees covered under my insurance. This becomes a liability issue, and I could lose coverage!

    At Heather’s Pet Care, we are trained professionals, and your pet will only be cared for by our team of professionals.

 

Pricing AND Payment Questions

  • We offer individualized and personalized dog care! We come to you instead of having to drop your dog off to camp. Plus, they feel more comfortable at home!

  • Cash, check, credit card or e-payment (Venmo or Zelle) can be used as a payment method.

  • Yes, depending on the service! All cancellation policies are on the page called Policies and Forms.

  • We do. We charge $10 extra per visit on weekends and major holidays. 

 
 

 

Deposit Questions

  • Yes! For pet sitting, a deposit is required. The deposit is 50% of the total job. The balance is due BEFORE you leave.

  • They are not refundable. Once you send over the deposit, those days and time slots become unavailable to others. Last minute cancelling results in not being able to fill those slots.

  • No, they are also non-transferable.
