🐾 Getting Started
-
Fill out our Contact Me page or Book your Meet and Greet.
Email responses will be sent within 24-48 hours! We will determine if your needs meet with our services then we’ll schedule a meet and greet.
-
It's not required, but it's helpful to fill out our cancellation policy and a checklist (if you need pet sitting). All paperwork is on our Policies and Forms page.
-
We'll get to know you and your pets, discuss their routines, and go over any special instructions or needs. This is the perfect time to ask questions, review keys and codes, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before we begin care.
-
A text message to Heather is preferred, but an email to info@heatherpetcare.com works too.
-
For dog walks, give us as much notice as you can. Just text Heather and we'll do our best to fit you in.
If you ever need to cancel, whether a cancellation fee applies depends on when you cancel (see our Policies and Forms page for details).
For pet sitting, we only take bookings up to one month out, so reach out within that window to reserve your dates.
-
We do but they are tough to squeeze in. Heather will always let you know whether or not we can help out!
🐾 Our Services & Service Area
-
Pennington, Hopewell, Lawrence, Ewing, and Princeton.
-
Either Heather or one of her trained team members! We're a team-based company, which means dependable, consistent coverage even when schedules change.
New clients generally meet our staff during the meet and greet (schedules dependent), and existing clients are welcome to set up a consultation with a team member anytime.
-
Dog pet sitting is reserved for dogs already on our regular walking schedule. This lets us build a real relationship with your dog first, so we can provide safe, familiar care during vacations, holidays, and weekends.
-
No. We provide in-home dog walking and pet sitting visits only. We don't offer overnights, sleepovers, daycare, or boarding in our homes.
-
No, we do not. They aren't employees covered under our insurance, which creates a liability issue and could put our coverage at risk. At Heather's Pet Care, your pet is only ever cared for by our team of trained professionals.
-
Your dog still gets care rain or shine! In light rain or cold, we head out as usual. During severe weather (thunderstorms, ice, or dangerous heat) we may shorten the walk and add indoor playtime and a potty break instead, always putting your dog's safety and comfort first.
-
Yes! Major holidays are Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
🐾 Your Pet's Health & Safety
-
Yes, through Pet Sitter's Associates.
-
We do, depending on the medication! We will not pill cats, but we can pill a dog as long as they are not a bite risk.
-
We will. If your cat is on medication, we'll need to stop by every day.
-
We send updates and photos after visits, so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
-
Your pet's safety always comes first. In a medical emergency, we'll get your pet to your listed vet or the nearest emergency clinic and contact you right away.
For home emergencies, we'll reach you immediately and follow your instructions. We collect emergency contacts and vet details at your meet and greet so we're always prepared.
🐾 Pricing & Payment
